Goods times start with good quotes.

A little bit of an update. I haven't talked about K-Life much in a while. I am still volunteering with the ministry, but a lot of the faces that used to be there have either graduated or become too busy to attend. I only hope that we made an impact while they came to Klub and to small group sessions. I am still keeping up with a few, one in particular, as he and I formed a good friendship. Senior High Klub this week (the big group meeting) was fun. I knew it would be since Lu was gonna be there, I kindof like her a whole heck of a lot, and it started out with this gem of a quote.

"Just make sure you clean it up after it explodes, ok?"

I just knew we were in for a good time. It was a great evening. I do wish the guys I tried to invest in weren't so busy and dedicated to so many other things. I also think that maybe I didn't engage them enough, but the good news is that no matter what I did, God can use whatever I said to speak to these guys and I am thankful for the opportunity. I do hope that I grow in that perspective and stop being so scared/timid/embarrassed to share what I believe. If I love people why wouldn't I share with them how they can not go to hell?

I have applied for a promotion at work. As I am typing this I realize how strange it sounds but basically the culture around here dictates that you need to apply for jobs in order to move up. Still strange to me though. Anyway, I am hoping that I will get the interviews and hopefully get a job offer soon.

Besides that, there really isn't a lot else that has happened since the last update. I will continue trying to improve my blogging. I do find it fun so we shall see how it goes.

Amen to the phrase:

"I also think that maybe I didn't engage them enough, but the good news is that no matter what I did, God can use whatever I said to speak to these guys and I am thankful for the opportunity."

Some of my high school girls aren't coming to small group because they're so busy (were we this busy in highschool??), and I pray that my time invested is used by God in some way.
