Siphesihle is a quiet handsome young man with a gentle demeanor. He lives in an 8x8 shack that he shares with his Grandmother Jemima. She has taught him the value of gratitude and while his deep voice may not often be heard, when he does have something to say, it is worth listening to. On one such occasion he shared with us the following, “Some people say God has abandoned Africa. There is so much hurt and diseases, things I do not understand; but then I see the beautiful things and remember the story Jesus told about a candle shining brightest when it is set out high in a dark room. Hope2Africa is that candle shining Jesus’ light to Africa.” Siphesihle’s faith cannot be contained in his tiny shack and because of this, he has HOPE...
Vuyo is our Hope2Africa Masi Director. He has lived in Masi most of his life. Vuyo was a member of our first Hope2Africa team and he stepped into the leader role as a volunteer. We were confident that God had brought Vuyo to lead the Hope2Africa Masi team and in November 2008 we offered him the position. He gladly accepted and when we gave him his first stipend (he is paid monthly) tears filled his eyes. He shared with us that he had believed for many years that God was going to allow him to serve in ministry vocationally but up until that day, he never could have imagined it actually happening. He was overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God and because of this, he has HOPE...
